90 Days And Still Learning…Whew, I’m Tired
I was truly ready to play FRISBEE with my computer this week. My Mac is 18 months young…it decided to DIE on me this past Tuesday. I immediately reached out to Apple for help. I live in a very rural area of North Carolina, so the Apple Store is a little far. Apple referred me to an authorized repair shop in Greenville, NC. I was hesitant to leave my laptop, but I had little choice in the matter. Thankfully the authorized repair shop realized they couldn’t fix my laptop and boxed it up and sent it to the Apple Depot that afternoon. Long story short, Apple replaced my logic board, top case, mylar cables and display assembly. The repair shop mentioned how much this repair would have cost without Apple Care. Thank God I did purchase Apple Care. I truly don’t understand why an 18-month-old laptop should suddenly die. Everyone, including Apple Support said it just happens every once in a while. I finally got my computer back on Saturday morning and thus far all is well.
On to the blogging scene
I wish I could say that my blogging was going fine…not! Who knew blogging and all that goes on behind the scenes is NOT easy.
I truly thought I was going to write and share my knowledge of residential real estate. I just want to be a resource to Sellers, Buyers and other Realtors.
Starting a blog is NOT easy…seriously it’s NOT. It takes time to do it right. I have become an avid researcher…Google is now one of my best friends. When you need an answer quick…search google.
Become a Social Butterfly
You also can’t forget about ALL the Social media platforms. Where is your optimal reader? If they are on FB you need to be on FB. If it’s Pinterest or Instagram…you need to be there as well.
You must also network with other bloggers; join their FB groups and interact with the group members. Be helpful while getting help yourself.
I didn’t know I needed to understand graphic art work, email service providers, widgets, etc. And don’t get me started on correct sizing of pictures for the blog, Face Book, Instagram and Pinterest.
And another thing, I truly didn’t know that blogging had its own confusing terminology. It’s like learning a whole new language…Ugh!!
I finally tried Canva, a free graphic software, only to get more confused and frustrated. Thankfully there’s an e-course for Canva.
I thought I was doing something when I got the email set up. However now I’ve learned that I need to offer some type of opt-in. Man, every time I think I have something down I get tripped up again. Thankfully, I found an e-course for my email service provider.
In case you haven’t figured it out yet…there’s a course for everything.
Enter the best purchase thus far
I’m glad I purchased the 2017 Genius Blogging Toolkit. All of the material is still very relevant. If it pertains to blogging there’s an e-course, pdf, video, check-list or workbook included in this toolkit. I can’t wait to see what will be in the 2018 version. For more information on purchasing a bundle check out Ultimate Bundles here.
It seems like lately all I’ve been doing is watching e-courses, tuning into FaceBook Lives and reading…not much writing going on.
Did I mention I wanted to use my computer as a frisbee? I’m truly ready to throw the towel in more often than not. Successful bloggers keep telling me it will get better. When? Seriously, when?

I owe a BIG thank you to Pat Flynn of Smart Passive Income. I absolutely gobble up everything he puts out. He has a podcast, a Youtube channel, a Face Book group, etc. He puts so much worthwhile FREE content out for continued learning. I’m on his email list so I get weekly updates…priceless!
I want to also direct you to my 30 Day Blogging Journey to learn about the bloggers that were super helpful to me in my first 30 days. You can check out that post and let me know your thoughts.
I can honestly say that without the support and mentoring of a few very helpful bloggers, I would never have been able to hit any milestones along the way. It has all been thanks to their kindness and influence.
If you are new to blogging what has been your experience? Does any of the above sound familiar? I would love to hear about your blogging journey. Your feedback is extremely important to me.
